Rubber is a poor conductor of heat, especially during the molding and heating process of thick products, the temperature is always transferred from the outer layer (mold) and the inner layer (mandrel) to the center layer after a certain period of time, so that different parts of the product are affected by the distance from the heat source. There are obvious temperature gradients. Therefore, the vulcanization process is actually a non-isothermal process with uneven temperature field distribution.
